G'day Mates!

We made it to Sydney....after about 20 hours. Flying backwards to Houston seems counterproductive, but....the San Antonio Airport........whomp whomp. We had a 2 hour layover in Houston which was just enough time to take advantage of one of the perks of our new credit card - lounge passes. There happened to be one we could go to in Houston, so we made the trek from C terminal to D terminal.

We don't have any loyalty with an airlines, so it was our first time lounge experience and we found it to be relaxing and comfy. There were TVs, food and alcohol, plus an attendant to pick up your trash. I could get used to that!

Honestly, the 17 hour flight to Sydney was not as bad as I was anticipating. After feeding us dinner and drinks (free beer and wine, woohoo!), everyone pretty much settled in to either watch a movie or sleep. Our flight wasn't full (yay!) and Bruce and I were able to stretch out in our own row of 3 seats! Of course, not stretch out literally. Your feet would be hanging over into the aisle! So kind of curl up in a ball and sleep. Whatever works! About mid-flight they came through and gave us a sandwich. They did it quietly and didn't wake you up for it. About an hour before we landed they fed us breakfast. So for 17 hours we either ate, slept or watched movies. The time went quicker than I thought!

We're kind of a bit bedraggled today. I can't tell what time it is, or what time my body thinks it is! We are within walking distance of Coogee Beach, so we just threw on our swimsuits and headed out to lay on the beach! I think that's all we have energy for today!

They have rock pools along the beach made by walling in the ocean side.

Being Saturday, it was pretty crowded. It's a cute little beach town. The Pavillion (below) houses a bunch of bars and restaurants. Kind of like an upscale food court-very upscale!

Speaking of it being Saturday........yep, we totally lost Friday! And here it is 7:00 PM right now and we're dead tired. We could have gone to bed an hour ago, but know that we better stay up! Maybe tomorrow then we will be back on track!

And That's A Wrap!

We captured this gorgeous sunset as we left Maui, our last port of call, and essentially the last stop before getting off the ship in ...
